wow

It's only been seventeen days [kinda cool how that worked out unplanned like that], but so much has happened. And i've forgotten most of it. But what i do remember will follow in great detail.

Um...right. Dream Theater. They're freakin amazing. i went to go see them last week i think it was, and it was awesome. It was at the Congress towntown. There was like 5000 people there or something, but there were no chairs for the front 7/8 of the theater [showing off my fraction skills], so it was awesome. But kinda odd and thought provoking at the same time. Dream Theater, being amazing, draws primarily musicians to their live events. Musicians from all walks of life...metalheads, piano players and teachers, classic rockers, progressive rockers, old people, families, kids...it's pretty sweet. But anyway, as i stood/sat back in the back, i noticed that the crowd seemed kinda quiet and still. thats when i figured out that they were all standing there with their jaws on the floor just staring at the guys on the stage. Which makes for a kinda dead audience, but still cool. That didn't mess up their performance none. Wow. Never have i heard a band so tight. i think you guys should all go listen to Dream Theater. Especially if you're a musician. For serious.

Let's see, what else happened...

i guess it was just an overall good week. Brought my tools to work today, that was pretty cool. Got my own toolbox/workbench/corner now. That's pretty sweet. Got a radio and stuff. Maybe i'll find me a cool car calendar or something for the wall. [not onea those ones with girls on the cars, not so much a fan of those. never really understood that, is it sposta be ok to have naked girls on the wall above your toolbox to look at all the time? i understand having pretty things on the wall to look at, but that goes as far as scenery or cars on scenery...not like dirty stuff. Granted, that can be alluring, but those aren't sights for us to see. That's sposta be saved for her husband i thought. But i'm prolly just telling everybody stuff they agree with, so i can stop now.] Yeah, it's pretty sweet, now i've got this cool huge toolbox and a corner, but the toolbox is empty and the wall is blank. [well, the toolbox isn't totally empty, but still] [it kinda makes me feel weird, i've got the biggest toolbox in the shop, but the least tools by far. i'm not compensating for anything, really. i just got the box for like 1/3 it's real value, so i wasn't about to pass up a deal like that. honest guys, leave me alone] now i just gotta spend like 60 grand in tools, then i'll have everybody's respect, right? [laughs] Alotta times you can tell the guys who do that to get respect, cause then they have this big fancy toolbox full of lots of fancy tools that are either clean cause they sit there unused or the guy can't wrench for crap or both. i just laugh and take note of how unsatisfying the world's promised riches end up. Kinda makes me feel better about what i have and don't have. Kinda makes me wanna sell all my stuff and become a preacher. [cept for the part where i don't have people or public speaking skills] i wish everything i keep working so hard for would quit seeming so futile. Stupid working hard for nothing.

Anyway, the last week or two was fun, spent several hours in Denny's at odd hours with fun company, went to Elwood and did huge burnouts with our Dart [pictures and video to come], worked a lot, didn't go to school cause it was spring break...that's about it as far as i can remember. i'll let you know later if i remember more fun stuff. Till then you can read what i just wrote here and be satisfied for now.
