It feels about time.

Just when you all were checking my blog for the last time, ready to give up on it, bam! another boring, droning post. Aren't you glad you checked?

I'm totally excited about the winter retreat! Somethin to do! With people I never see anymore! Sounds like fun. Maybe I can find the coat I left there last year. I'm excited. Looking forward to strengthening old friendships and hopefully making some new ones. And playing lots of guitar. And an awesome carpool ride up there. [hopefully my passengers will stay awake on the way home this time] It's gonna be awesome. It's even at a nice camp and stuff. Plus the whole relaxation factor of hangin out with some good friends in a nice warm cabin far away from home. Definitely gonna be the highlight of the spring. The carpool thing is my favorite part I think. Like a road trip or somesing. Some good music and good friends in close proximity for a few hours. Nuthin better.

Some stuff has happened since the last time I've spoken to you guys here. I'm the proud new owner of a 1998 Dodge Dakota! I love it. And I got a Mesa/Boogie TriAxis. That thing sounds freakin amazing! [It's a guitar dealie, if you come to the retreat, you'll prolly get to hear it] I'm becoming a real mechanic too. [at least in my head] I know how to do stuff and stuff. It's pretty sweet. I can do stuff fast too. Makes me proud and stuff. [in a good way] I'ma get ASE certified coming up pretty soon too. That means I can officially be a mechanic. By the way, if your car needs something or it's broke, let me know, I can help you out. It won't even cost you nuthin. Just cause I feel like helping out. You can contact me at daveakre@gmail.com or 630.207.0075. I may not be able to fix it, but I can prolly point you in the right direction. And besides, for free why not try?

I finally got a copy of Rend's cd. [I borrowed my little sister's and burned it] She actually paid for it, so I gave her a refund in the form of Lifesavers. [butter rum, the only bad kind of Lifesaver] Meanwhile, I still sit around here in the evenings and watch the best TV show ever, the Dukes of Hazzard. I got season 4 for Christmas. It has 9 DVDs with 3 1-hour episodes each. Needless to say, I've got plenty. Now if I only had an orange '69 Charger with 01 on the doors and the stars and bars on the roof. Someday...

My little sister Kathy showed me a cool new band that I actually like. They're called Echoing Green. It's suprising that I like them, because they play music with compys. I think they call it "synthpop". Whatever it is, I like it. It's pretty sweet. You can find it here. Owell, it's time for dinner. Fettuccine Alfredo with all kindsa insteresting stuff. Exciting!
