sad. [sortof]

Talk about your odd series of events.

Last week. I'm get to drive sister to COD for her Spanish class. Mom wants me to stop at the store to pick up 2 green peppers and some tortillas. [she's making fajitas] So she sends me off in her Durango cause I'm doing a favor for her. I drop sister off on time, no problem. Find the stuff in the store right quick. Leaving the store, I took a right turn out of the parking lot a little close, scuff the curb, and my mom's giant copper cooking pot goes through the back window. Oops. Well, it was an accident, no big deal. I go home get yelled at for "hot-rodding" and don't really care, because I know I wasn't. We get it fixed the next day for like 300$.

Ok, this week Wednesday. My dad's driving home from some place, and is like 2 minutes from our house. He's in the far right lane of Naperville Road, going south. A young woman in the far right northbound lane rams into the back end of another driver going north. The rammed driver loses control of her Volvo, and it ends up spinning all over, and of course stops right in front of my dad, who happens to be travelling 35 at the moment. Crunch. Owell, not his fault. So the Durango gets towed, my dad rides the bike that was in the back of the car the rest of the way home.

So now we're down to one family car. My old Chrysler is up on jackstands in my driveway for a few more weeks as I continue to rebuild the transmission in class. So that one family car is everyone's favorite 1983 Oldsmobile. Ok, so now we're up to yesterday. [Friday] It's about 2:30PM, and I leave to go pick up sister and little brother from Timothy Christian up in Elmhurst. So I'm cruising eastbound on Warrenville Road, coming up on Rt. 53. I'm in the left lane, doin 45, and a lady in a white BMW decides to leave that gas station on the southwest corner of the intersection without looking and without stopping like she's supposed to. Not only that, she's flying [or trying to at least] across the right turn lane, the two through lanes, and the two left turn lanes. I got to be the one cruising in the left through lane at 45, and ended up smashing up her BMW right good. I hit her right in the driver's door and front wheel. Yeah, I also managed to destroy her rear axle and made her doors unopenable. Owell, her fault, so I don't really care. Now we just need a new car. I'm hoping to get a littlebit of money for it, so I can can give it to my sister. [it was her car after all, she didn't even get to drive it] I wanna get alla my fun stuff out of it too. Shouldn't be too hard. So now we drive a rented Ford Freestar minivan. [which I hate already] And it looks like I'm gonna borrow one of my parents' friend's extra cars. Cool. Now sister just needs a new car. I'll get those pictures up here, and I think that's the last you'll ever see of the black chalkboard car.
