How could you not love sunsets and Egaugnal?

Really. And that's a real sunset too. Didn't Photoshop the color any. Cool, huh? I love digital cameras. Anyway, hows my plan been working out? Did you guys email her? She hasn't posted yet or come by here and edited my post...or maybe she just hasn't checked her email yet. In any case, stay on her case.

Hey, you know what's cool? Dan's studio is up and running. It's sweeeet. ProTools and all...sounds good...yeah. It's cool. I've always wanted to work in a studio and now Dan's got one! Now we just gotta convince him he needs a drum room, and all will be well. I gotta find a band...who likes to actually play music...good music...hmmm...ok, I'm taking applications...daveakre@gmail.com...and by application I mean put your name in an email and send it to me...and I'll say yes...hmmm...maybe a formal ad to get peoples attention...

Yes, that should do nicely.

A New Post

Ok, so in keeping with the ongoing attempt at a theme, I have a plan. My cohost Rebekah is mysteriously absent from her duties. I haven't heard from her in a while either. Enter Dave's Plan. Let's send her so many emails telling her we miss her posts that she'll hafta post just to make us stop filling her mailbox. You think it'll work? Let's find out.

Godslilgift84@yahoo.com

Done and done. On to other lack of business. Did you know that I'm sposta be sleeping right now? Yep, I gotta get up at 4:30 tomorrow morning so I can get to church to do the sound stuff. And I'm not gettin up at 4:30 cause I hafta do my hair. I [and a few lucky others] get to arrive at 5 tomorrow! I'm not entirely sure why, cause I think they set up all the equipment today so we wouldn't have to tomorrow...and 5 hours is an awfullongitme to just sit there...I don't know what's in store. But in any case, I should be sleeping. I actually went to bed 2 hours ago, but that didn't really work. I tole all my siblings to shut up and not bother me, but no. Like 20 minutes ago, little brother walks in, turns light on then like 15 seconds later sees me trying to throw stuff at him and runs. Bother. Enough of the complaining spirit tho. Today was actually a positive day. I got the new power supply to make family computator work again...found patches to make Command & Conquer: Red Alert [the old, good one] work in network mode on XP, and I restrung my gi-tar today. Nuthin like a new set of Slinkys on a finely machined Carvin neck. If you have no idea what I'm talkin aboot, man you're missing out. Ask me sometime, I'll show you. It's sweeet.

You know, despite all the worries I have about this whole college deal, and getting into the right classes and registering for these classes while I'm on Highpoint, and staying on the family's medical insurance and all, I think I might survive. Plus, if I do get in these classes, it'll be a sweet life to survive in. 4 classes about cars? How could I argue? But man, gettin all this crap off my mind at a time like this, when I'm sposta be sleeping so I don't fall asleep tomorrow in church...that's not so easy. My stupid brain just doesn't wanna shut up. That's why I wound up here, actually writing a real post...as opposed to those car posts that I just ramble in to keep you guys happy for a few days. Hmmph. Stupid life, so mind-filling. You know how much of this crap comes down to me being prideful? Too much of it. All of it. See, I haven't been to DG in awhile cause when Giles said I couldn't come back unless I did his challenge, it kinda bugged me. The whole, well, what if I don't feel like doing that challenge, or don't have time? thing. Pride. Yeah. Still haven't done it. Why I haven't been to the Rock, dunno. Probably the same mental reasoning, or just cause I don't care. I dunno. Just didn't feel like going and dealing with alla that stuff. But whatever, cause I'm coming this Sunday [if I'm not still asleep from Sunday morning recovery] and hopefully this Wednesday [with the challenge done] to come serve and worship and learn aboot the Lord again. Good plan?

Man, you gotta love old car guys...

Yeah. They're so much fun. I know this guy in the car club, his name's Ron. He drives a '63 Plymouth Sport Fury. It's white. It doesn't look fast in the least. It's got a 472ci Hemi in it. Puts about 575hp to the rear wheels. In a car that looks like a grandpa should be driving it. Plus, Ron's got long white hair. He's cool. While his car was warming up after the Downers Mopar night last friday, I asked him if he's ever taken that car to the track. He replied "No, that's bad for it. The street's much better." Gotta love the guy. Not only that, but right after talking to him, he did a half-block long burnout in downtown Downers Grove. It was sweet. The first time I met the guy, he asked me if I had my license. When I said yes, he immedeately replied "Oh, we gotta get you behind the wheel of my HemiCuda then." Plus, everytime I see him, he throws me free crap. He's a cool guy. Then there's Don, who's also got a HemiCuda, but this one came from the factory that way [Ron's has an aftermarket Hemi crate motor in it, 472ci, just like his Sport Fury] so it's a lot more valuable. He's always like "Oh, it's not that special, it's an automatic car." and everyone's like "Don! It's a Plum Crazy Purple '70 HemiCuda with a warranty replacement block!" This is a reallyfreakinsweet car. I'll find my pictures of it and post them.

For allay'all who don't care about cars, I apologize for the preceding run-on paragraph. These days, all I know is cars. I don't have anything that you guys'd like to read. It'd be boring, meaningless and short.

okokok

So I'll post for you guys.

This weekend was cool. Friday I went to Downers Grove's cruise night. It just so happened to be Mopar night, and we turned out around 110 Mopars. 'Twas very cool. The next day, we went to Belvedere to a Mopar show. Was also cool. I was riding in this yellow car on the way there, and on the way back, it dropped its transmisson. We sat on the side of the road for a few hours waiting for a tow truck, then headed home. On Sunday, we went back to Belvedere, for the second day of the 2 day show, and to pick up another fun toy. [to be announced later.] Today [Sunday] was sweeet. Big Mopar show. I signed up for a magazine [Mopar Collector's Guide, the best Mopar magazine around] and got a free t-shirt. Then, after a full day of showing, we drove the aforementioned new toy home and here I sit.

Blog - done. [insert nextel beep here]

I've come across a breakthrough here, people...

For the time being at least, I've decided to give up on girls and stick with cars. They're more reliable. Of course, you can ask anybody, I'm the pictureboy for unreliable. But see, I won't come out to my driveway in the morning to find a car that's tired of me cause I'm too boring, or she's too busy or whathaveyou. No. You leave a car for awhile, she's ok still. Just spend a little time with her and she's good as ever. And, if she says something's allright, it's allright. [unless the sending units are acting funny, then that's just another problem to diagnose, and in that case, she doesn't know she's not allright.] Plus, nobody cares or pokes fun if you have a big car, and nobody calls you whipped if you spend a lot of time with your car, listening to her and fixing her problems. That just makes you more of a man. I don't get it. You listen to a woman, suddnely you're whipped. You listen to your car [who you named after a girl] and people respect that. Why is this world so screwed up? Guys value cars over their wives or girlfriends and are looked up to for it. If a guy loves his girl with all his heart [second only to his love for the Lord], he gets made fun of all the time. [trust me, I've witnessed it] But, there's also the other extreme. If a guy bends over backwards and forfeits his thoughts, ideas and friends for his girl, something's wrong. He needs an awakening, usually delived by a sound beatdown by the friends he's abandoned for the girl. So here's my call to action: #1 beatdowns for all losers who dump all their friends for girlfriends. #2, for those of us who are incapable of finding/getting/keeping a girlfriend, go love your car with all your heart.
