High School is way overrated. Unless you like dealing with punks. I personally don't. Unless it involves humbling them by leaving them and their Hodnas in your cloud of burnt rubber. That there's another story. But in most cases...no. High School is somethin you'll look forward to till you get there. Then it might be a novel idea for a year or two. Any longer than that and your sanity'd be questionable. All it'll leave you with is a brainfull of useless crap and a few broken relationships. Yeah, I know, that's a really crappy way to look at it, but that's my typical perspective on things now isn't it? My advice? Invest in the Rock. Especially if you end up goin to a Christian school. The Rock is a great group of people. I really don't want to leave it. I can't freakin wait to leave my school, but the Rock is a totally different story. Maybe six months ago the story would have been different. Not today. Back then all I saw was immaturity. Now I'm not so shortsighted. Take this approach towards school: NOT APATHY. Apathy will get you D-'s and alot of them. Yes, I know, just pass your classes like that then go to COD, but you deserve better. You can do better. Don't be like me. Don't waste 4 years of your life sittin at home on the intornet. Not worth it. Go out and make some friends and do stuff. And don't talk behind their backs, cause that'll get 'em cheezed of faster than you'd believe. But you already know this stuff. Oh, and for those of you who aren't in Discipleship Group [not rippin on you or nuthin], you do not need anybody but the Lord to vent to. Period. Venting will usually get you in alot of trouble right quick, plus it don't solve nuthin. Anyway, back to my point. Even tho your High School grades will not matter at all once you're through college, [unless maybe you go to work for the CIA, NSA, FBI or equivalent government agency] try your hardest. This is total hipocracy coming from me, but shut up. You need to hear it from somebody who knows the effects of apathy. You want to graduate, trust me on this one. Yes, I think I'm graduating, for all of you who are wondering what I'm talkin about. Don't waste your High School years. They can be quite a bit of fun. Pull some pranks. NOT practical jokes. There's a big difference here. You DO NOT try to hurt somebody with a prank. You go for wasted time. Practical "jokes" can seriously scar people for the rest of their lives. Seriously. Go for somethin that's not destructive, not harmful, just a waste of time. Like release some harmless bugs in school. That'll just waste time. But anyway, don't do really stupid stuff. That just gets you in trouble. Trust me on that. Be totally random. Go get some 70's suits from the thrift store and wear them to school. I don't know what I'm talkin about anymore. Just seize your youth. It won't last forever. Don't work your summer away either. That just sucks. Summer isn't about money. You can work, it's good for discipline. [Trust me, I've never worked, I'm very very very undisciplined] Anyway, I'm done preaching.
