in an effort to lift allay'all's spirits...

Yeah, it's worth a shot. Plus I haven't written here in quite awhile. I need somethin to do. Let's see...uh...music is still cool...and picturing...um...some movies are cool too. Oh! I know! I could tell you all about the MoPower Madness show that I went to on Sunday! It was sweet!

So I got to get up at 6:00 in the mornin with my little brother. That wasn't cool. Then we had some Golden Grahams. We run over to my neighbor's house at like 6:30 all excited-like. Then my neighbor started up his 440+6 Road Runner, featuring its 2.5" dual exhaust with a pair of Flowmaster 40 Series and an H-pipe [keep in mind that Flowmaster's 40 Series is their loudest muffler and that it's still 6:30 on a Sunday morning] Needless to say, we rattled the windows on the lady across the street's house a little. Then, on the way to the show we stopped by a Dunkin Donuts and impressed a bunch of guys. That was cool. Then when we actually got to the show, we were some of the first people there. When people actually started showing up, I got to direct traffic. That was cool. Some of those cars were really freakin loud! You think my car's loud sometimes? No way. Wow. Can you say blown 528 Hemi? Yup. Not to mention that great smell of just burnt race gas. mmmmmmm...114... And alcohol in a few cases. That can't be bad. Man, you wouldn't believe the colors of some of these cars. If I wasn't lazy, I'd post some pictures on this post. But I'm lazy, so that's that for that. Ok, maybe I will to illustrate some of my points. That'd be cool. That means I gotta go find the digital camera. Man, Mopar shows have the best colors. And these are stock! That's how they came from the factory! I found the camera [there was an hour gap between that last sentence and this one] and uploaded some cool pictures.

dave's cars of the post:

Ok, some captions, left to right. First there, that's qute the beautiful sight at 6:30 in the morning...definately somethin worth gettin up for. Second, that was my little bro's favorite car in the show, the Stryker Twin Turbo Viper. That thing holds the land speed record for the highest top speed for a street legal car. No small accomplishment. Third is one of my favorites, a little A body with a big 440 in it. Can't be bad. And on the far right is a really cool car, a 1969 Plymouth Superbird. Did you know that that 3 foot wing came standard?!

On to the next set here...some good examples of Mopar's colors. First is a '74 'Cuda in Panther Pink, second is a T/A Dodge Challenger in some form of yellow, then the same car in red, then in orange [Vitamin C orange I think] Pretty cool for colors right out of the factory, huh?

mmm...2004 Viper...convertible. Its got big engine. 505ci V10! Thas big. 8.3L! 500hp! mmm...a viper logo to go with it. Here's THE coolest hood ever. The Shaker. This one's on a 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda with the 440+6. That black intake is mounted right on top of the carbs. [3 of them! A stock 6 pak setup sucked down 1350cfm of air! Stock! Most stock airflow on any car!] And, when you started or revved the engine, that intake shook all over the place, hence the name "Shaker".

On the left you'll see another one of the coolest hoods ever produced, the 1969 1/2 6pak hood. Keep in mind that that came with the car straight from the factory. Next we have one of the only engines more fun than your typical 440, a Hemi. And this isn't your typical run of the mill 426 street Hemi. No, this is a Mopar Performance 528 Race Hemi crate motor. The funnest of them all. Moving on to the prettiest engine bay I've ever seen is this late model Dakota. The only problem here is that it's a 6 not the 360. Ohwell, it's still blown. The last of our cars here today is a red Viper. And it's here cause it looks cool. Thanks for listenin folks, I'll be back later with some more, I'm sure. I got aboot 250 more to choose from.
