mmm...blog......again...

It's that time again. The time when you all gather around my feet as I sit in my nice rocking chair, ready for storytime. Then, in keeping with the old guy analogy, I forgot what I was saying. Crap. Well, I guess I could always tell you another story. Ok, here goes.

So, I wanna play cello. This was spurred on by a Dream Theater song that's really good. It's got a cello in it. I learned the cello part on the guitar sortahalfway, then I forgot most of it. [just to clarify, no, even tho I may look the part, I'm not a pothead, just forgetful] Anyway, today I was sittin at our piano with my laptop, preparing to write out the music for the aforementioned cello part in this Dream Theater song. Then I remembered I can't play the piano. Ok, no big deal. I can peck out the general feel of it and translate it to music. Here arrives problem #2: I can't read music. Hmm...ok, so I gave up after that one.

Then I got to thinkin about my car. I dunno if I'm a fan or not. Yeah, its got the styling part going for it, but it's so sluggish. And it doesn't have the cargo space a sluggish vehicle should. Granted, it's really freakin comfortable for long [even 6 hour +] trips. Like a couch with a v8 and no heater. [yeah, the heater's still bwoke. I fixed it to not blow steam out the vents anymore, but then last week the little lever that decides where the steam came out got stuck in the "Def" position. That means I'm always gettin cold air in the face. Thas not good when it's cold out. Anyway, back to the story...] I'm thinkin either a full size Chevy cargo van [you know, the 12 passenger size without those pesky seats for the other 10 passengers] or an El Camino. Now if I went the Chevyvan route, it'd be an early 80's G20 [sorry Dan, I don't want an Astrovan] with an auto and a 350. If it was an El Camino, it'd be [preferably] a 68-70 with a 4 speed [auto's ok] and at least a 396. [454-502 better] Then I could haul alla my crap and leave some big black marks whenever I feel the need to. Whaddya think? I'm likin the El Camino idea. [not a Ranchero Dan, that'd be a Ford] So here's my choices:

1. Keep the crapmobile, save up for something real nice [2-3 years]
2. Keep the crapmobile, throw a bunch of money at the stock 307
3. Keep the crapmobile, drop in a 350 crate motor
4. Sell the crapmobile to sister, get a G20 van
5. Sell crapmobile to sister, get El Camino

I like #5...mmmm...400hp truckcar...
