Parents. Not fun. Note from the Editor: I erased the part where I complained aboot my dad cause he's cool. Here's the rest of that post: Today started good, stayed at my aunt's house last night, got up like 8:30, had a good breakfast. It turned for the worst. I was working with a chainsaw in my aunt's backyard and first it took like 10 minutes just to get it running steady. Then, after every time I finished a cut, it'd die. Then it ran out of gas and I had to mix more. I mixed it wrong, too much oil. I didn't care. It sorta ran and smoked a ton. I kept cutting. The saw stopped oiling the blade. I tore it all open, cleaned the oiling passage dealie, put it back together and started cutting. Blade fell off. Fixed it. Oil stopped again. Didn't care. Chain brake stuck. I gave up. Maybe I can fix it next weekend. Then I'm dragging the pieces I did cut up back to the back and my aunt starts yelling at me cause I was gonna put a huge gouge in the grass. She tole me to leave it for later. Ok. Then I started staining some redwood benches. That worked out ok. I went home, and on the highway [with all the windows down of course] a huge gust of wind pulled my headliner in the car down a bunch more [pulled the tacks out] and I got two eyefuls of foam. Beautiful. Fixed that, got home only to find out I had to put up a new mailbox before my dad got home. Such fun. Destroyed the top of the screw as always happens, then put it up crooked. It's still crooked. The post was kinda lopsided to start out with. Ok, that done, I went inside to shower only to realize I was supposed to have left 5 minutes ago for the leader hunt. Quick shower, run to car, drive fast. Get there and it was really fun and I forgot all my troubles and the thing I meant to do and had a great time. [expect pictures soon] It was very quality. Got to hang out with my best friends. Couldn't have been better. Great van rides too, talkin to some of my best friends. [I probably shouldn't classify friends, but...] Yeah, quality. Then I went home and on the way I beat a Trans Am WS6. He didn't know we were racing. I won. He couldn't shift for crap tho. Stupid old guy. And who buys a silver Trans Am WS6? Those are supposed to be in one of three colors: red, yellow, or my personal favorite, black. A friend of mine has a black one. It's pretty. Now I'm losing valuable sleeping time blogging. I gotta get up early for sound again. Say hi to me when you see me. Now for dave's car of the post: 1967 Pontiac GTO. A personal favorite of mine, this particular one starred in Vin Diesel's movie xXx, and looked really really sweet the whole time. Purple is a good color. I believe the Pontiac GTO was the first real musclecar and was basically just a simple Pontiac Tempest that they dropped a huge engine in and added some GTO badges, all of which starting in 1965...I think...I'm not really a Ponitac/GM guy. Mopar for me. This is one of my favorite cars tho. They rereleased it for 2004 tho. I don't know if I'm a fan yet. We'll see. Looks too much like a Grand Prix. posted by dave @ 10:05 PM |
